The worlds of traditional and digital media continue to blend as YouTube further grows its billion plus user-base and Instagram launches IGTV.

We also see new opportunities to create personalised, real-time ad content with a fun World Cup twist.

Instagram launches IGTV

In its latest press release, Instagram describe IGTV as; “A new app for watching long-form, vertical video from your favorite Instagram creators, like LaurDIY posting her newest project or King Bach sharing his latest comedy skit.”

 

 

What does this mean for marketers?

Well, it’s early days at the moment, but it is another opportunity to make your brand a storyteller and publisher – this time with videos up to one hour long.

In this modern era, the purpose of a business should always be more than the profits it makes, so this is your opportunity to shout out about what makes you different.

 

Jumping in on World Cup fever!

New tools now make it possible for us to create real-time ads that can be triggered by events in the World Cup! Using 4Cs technology, one of the most powerful ads manager, we can create a big competitive advantage for your brand. For example, check out this cool ad we created for National Bank of Fujairah!

Every time a player or team, for example,  makes a save, scores a goal or receives a card – we can create an automated ad that links to that event – and automatically publish it across channels. We have been launching this new ad formats, personalised to the users, during the World Cup, and results are terrific!

Interactive videos on Facebook

As more of us develop an appetite for online content, Facebook proposes to take this a step further by making its content interactive. And Live video content is booming at the moment, call it Live, TV or Stories. 

What does this mean for marketers?

Creators will be able to add features like polls, quiz questions and challenges into their content. These features will be available to be used in individual videos or for creating standalone game shows.
